Securing Cable Ties on RIC 290 Sensors
When installing record RIC 290 sensors, the cable that plugs into the processor must be cable tied to the end of the processor. This will aid in protecting the CAN plug. If the sensor cables have not been secured correctly, they can get caught up in the carriage wheels, this can tear the surface mount CAN plug from the processor.
Image above showing how CAN plug has been torn away from the processor. Image right, how securing cable ties can prevent this from happening.
