Ryde Railway Station
Brief
Ryde Railway Station on the Isle of Wight required an automated entrance with the maximum possible clearance for easy access for all. Additionally, as the entrance is situated on the sea-facing side, the doors had to withstand challenging weather conditions.
Solution
Frontrunner Doors installed a Record FTA 20 Folding Door, ideal for spaces where sliding doors aren’t practical. It’s inward folding door leaves, not only eliminate the need for extra space around the entrance but also provide excellent resistance to strong winds while remaining easy to operate.

Peter Hughes, Managing Director of Frontrunner Doors commented
“Given the station’s role as a major gateway from the Portsmouth Ferry, linking to train and bus services across the island, the Record FTA 20 is an ideal fit.
It offers a maximum opening to accommodate the high foot traffic while blending seamlessly with its surroundings.
Simple and quick to install and with excellent technical support, just some of the reasons why Record is our go to, trusted supplier”.
